Artist Studio Space and Incubator Program

One of the primary goals of Blue Ridge ArtSpace is to assist artists in becoming established, successful, and self-sustaining professionals.

• Created in response to a voiced need for affordable studio space in the area
• Allows artists to collaborate together and be inspired by one another in a creative environment
• Allows visitors the opportunity to witness firsthand the creative process
• Allows artists to reach new audiences through direct interactions with visitors in their studios
• Provides unique and highly visible space in the heart of downtown Boone

The Artist Incubator Program allows selected artists to participate in a structured program, which is designed to develop and sustain them as entrepreneurs in a region in which the arts are having an increasing economic impact.

• Includes newly emerging visual artists, craftspeople, multimedia artists, and others
• Embraces both traditional and contemporary artists
• Mentoring provided for each participating artist
• Includes workshops and classes designed to develop business skills such as marketing, financial management, contract negotiations, pricing, etc.
• Graduated discounts on studio rental fees
